We grow our corn near Kenyon. We plant our sweet corn 4 times, every 7 to 10 days to ensure 5 weeks of non stop corn.
Bi-colored yellow and white sweet corn named Delectable. Always juicy and sweet, never over done.
We have 10 acres of river bottom land. The soil is perfect for the best corn. Even drought years have little effect.
We get our supplies from AG Partners in Pine Island and sometimes Wanamingo. We use fertilizer and a pre-emergent when planting and nothing else. I eat from the field every morning to quality control what we are selling. No herbicides or pesticides.
We are excited to be welcomed back into Nilssen's Market in Zumbrota this year. we will be keeping our stand at the guilty goose but when we sell out and go home you can still find our corn in their produce department.
The local grocery store in Kenyon caries our sweet corn. They display our name on the corn when it's in season.
The local grocery store in Pine Island caries our corn. They have a shopping cart set by the produce isle with a little extra corn kept in their cooler down the aisle.
We have moved our stand to a free city lot in Zumbrota next to the Guily Goose. Because this is a free space we are passing the saving along by selling our corn cheaper. We try to get there at 10am and stay til 5pm. If you can't make it to our stand please visit the grocery stores listed above.

Ever heard plant early, plant often? Sweet corn likes a soil temperature above 50 degrees. 80 degree days just after Easter helps but Mother's Day is usually the fail safe planting day. If the soil is too cold the seeds lay dormant and I end up with two plantings ripe at the same time. I will keep monitoring the soil as I wait for my seeds and fertilizer to come in. Unfortunately I got a late start this year. I was ready to go before Mother's Day but it was still too chilly over night and the week following was filled with rain. Right now I've got three plantings in the ground and two of them are coming up. Everything is looking good. An early prediction is August 16 for our stand opening. Hope to see you in August.

We have started the harvest and are currently selling corn in Menards north parking lot for $6 a dozen. You can also find our corn in grocery stores in Zumbrota and Kenyon. Our corn filled out well this year with some large ears that are very tasty.
Read more2025 was a great year to grow corn. And it's a great year for you to fill your freezer. I've cut overhead this year and I have an abundance of corn so I've set my cost per dozen at $5. And… I think we're getting famous. A huge thank you to the nurse at Mayo Clinic that sent the couple from Northern Minnesota to our stand. They took 12 dozen home with them and threatened a return visit. I pray that couple enjoyed our corn as much as the nurse that sent them here.
